Helping GIO define a clearer Indigenous community transportation value proposition for its enclosed scooter platform and open a new deployment pathway across First Nations in Canada.

Founder & CEO
GIO Mobility wanted to engage more effectively with Indigenous communities and better position its enclosed electric scooters as a clean, practical transportation option for First Nations across Canada. Before this work, the primary use cases for the product had been resorts and similar settings, and the company lacked a culturally aligned engagement approach for community deployment.
ClimateDoor helped GIO define a clearer value proposition for its enclosed scooters in Indigenous community settings. We developed an Indigenous partnerships playbook, identified practical community use cases such as Elder transportation and youth engagement, and helped GIO understand how to engage with Indigenous communities in a more culturally aligned way based on ClimateDoor's direct community experience.
GIO moved from a general-use product position to a clearer Indigenous community transportation strategy, resulting in 11 units sold into First Nations communities across British Columbia and Manitoba and a new institutional partnership with Red River College to explore a bespoke colder-climate vehicle.
