New Energy Corporation (NEC)
About
New Energy Corporation (NEC) is a Canadian cleantech company commercializing scalable hydrokinetic systems that convert industrial water outflows into 24/7 baseload electricity. Its EnviroGen™ turbines are plug-and-play systems designed for industrial discharge channels, a niche often overlooked by tidal and riverine energy competitors.

Seed
NEC had strong technical validation but fragmented investor materials, dated branding, and a leadership transition that made it harder to attract institutional capital and strategic partners. Despite more than two decades of R&D, pilots, and international validation, the company lacked a clear commercial story that could connect proven technology to repeatable revenue.
ClimateDoor helped reposition NEC from a legacy hydro venture into a more credible commercial energy platform focused on industrial outflows, defense-aligned energy applications, and scalable project deployment. We rebuilt investor materials, sharpened the narrative, supported leadership transition, and ran targeted outreach to climate investors, strategics, and corporate partners. We also helped align NEC with non-dilutive and defense-relevant funding pathways to strengthen the overall capital story.
NEC moved from a fragmented legacy story to a clearer, investor-ready commercialization narrative. The result was stronger investor traction, active engagement with corporate partners, and progress into due diligence on a raise at a $23M company valuation.
